Professional PhotographerĪ professional photographer works in specific areas of focus after learning black & white and darkroom/digital techniques which includes: portraiture, photojournalism, advertising, fashion, wedding, food, travel, underwater, and many more options. Positions at galleries and museums as curators vary widely including: acquiring objects and collections, keeping records and cataloging acquisitions, planning and organizing exhibitions, and administrative art duties such as planning budgets and negotiating loan items. This includes professional practices of artist CV, artist statements, websites, gallery/museum exhibitions, grant writing and more for a variety of employment areas such as jewelry artist, professional artist, tattoo artist and screen-printing artist. Fine ArtistĪ fine artist specializes in creative and entrepreneurial pursuits in areas such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and drawing. With a NASAD accredited Studio Arts degree from Belmont, students elect to enter directly into professional employment positions or continue into a Master of Fine Art (MFA) degree upon graduation. Students have the ability to achieve an interdisciplinary studio art degree with foundation studio art courses to advanced and specialized topics courses.
